Mini-series
After completing a mind map,
We created our first three investigations composed of a 5''x7'' miniseries based off of the ensuing theme. These are ink pen drawings that incorporate a suspenseful opening to my graphic novel investigation. The pieces converge to the center.
The scene opens to the devastation of the year 2020. The Corp holds control of the public mind, even sending out genetically modified and shape-shifting Snats to attack the independent minded. The city has completely shut down, left in the ruins of a once great past. One must reflect on what once was...

Investigation #4"Meanwhile..."
Watercolor 7x12 We're sent back in time to the year 2008. The skies are the purest of blue and the flag stand mighty and tall. We see our hero fly across the velvet blue sky, the citizens below worshipping their most esteemed hero. If only they knew what was to come... Investigation #5"Elsewhere..."
Watercolor 7x12 Here we are, back to the abandoned and decimated city. We see our future protagonist moments before the Snats attack. The wonderer reflects on what the city has lost and mourns before a torn and ragged costume. This lifeless shell of the poor hero hangs manipulated and drained. The heroes could not survive armageddon, but hope will prevail in the most unexpected of places... Guiding Question(s): How can graphic novels portray atmosphere and tone through imagery? Investigation #9"Cover Story"
Watercolor and Ink 7x10.5 The wanderer stirs conflict within himself. His links to the present and past are becoming skewed. He can feel the hero and the snat reaching out for control. He is running out of time before the present consumes him...

Investigation #10"No Place Like Home"
Watercolor 18x12 Heroes have one missions: put into place a safeguard for their citizens. This dire situation pulls our figures out of their beloved city. The only battle that is to be held will be held outside of our hero's city. As he looks over the setting sky, our caped wonder reflects on the chaos that will ensue.... Investigation #11"Groundbreaking"
Acrylic 12x12 This is the calm before the storm. Our hero sends out a message to his team, and what emerges from the ground is the muscle. Our tranquil friend controls the Golem, a mythological creature who adheres to the ancient tongue. May his presence fly in favor of our heroes in battle... Investigation #15"The Creator"
Pencil and Acrylic 7x10.5 The scene ends with our mature creator, putting his dreams to paper. Titled, "United We Stand," his story details the struggles of a roughed wanderer on his quest to save the future. Zooming out of our creator, we can see his story already reaching reality. In a world where sides battle and ideologies clash, that one glimmer of light can change the world. Guiding Question(s): How to graphic novels bring their story to a meaningful end?
